Day Seven of NaNoWriMo

Day seven of NaNoWriMo is hear, meaning the first week is almost over. And boy has that gone quick!

The target work count for the end of today is 11666 and drum roll I have.....6337
Yes, Loki is disappointed. Today will be a caffeine ruled, word sprint spectacular for me to bump up my count. Wish me luck. If you want to join in with word sprints you can follow me on twitter at @AlicePhotis where I will be posting word sprint times and word totals and some hits, with @KakashiNaruto71 So you can follow away.

Good luck writers!

My 2013 NaNoWriMo sidekicks

So, for everyone who doesn't know, there's only 24days left till NaNoWriMo 2013 begins! And if you aren't familiar with the term NaNoWriMo, it stands for national novel writing month. The idea is to write fifty thousand words of a novel in the 30 days of November. This will be my third year entering and I am determined to win this one! So, this novel girl is approaching November with two trusty side kicks.

Coral the A5 Vintage Pink Malden and Mango the Personal Orange Osterley.

This post is going to be mostly about Coral, since mango is my everyday planner (I'll get to her in a bit) anyway: when you open her, she has a pretty basic front set up.

I keep my Extra Fine Nib Lamy Safari Fountain Pen in the zipper pocket, scrap paper and notes in and my first divider (I made all of these myself with fabric paper from Paperchase).

Beyond my first divider, I've split Coral into five sections (so far) to help with the planning to my NaNo Novel.

Character planning:
Plot points/chapter over views:
Possible scenes I want to include in the final novel:
My draft section (ready for November!):
And my notes section which contains books/films/music pieces/songs/quotes that inspire me

I don't have much else to show you except a peak at my character planning page:
With all the points I like to know about my characters. And that's pretty much all for Coral. Now on to Mango!

The only thing that I'm really using Mango for that's to do with NaNo is my word counts. Each day I have written out my word count for the day, the count so far, and the words left to go before I reach my fifty thousand

I hope this has been helpful and maybe a little inspiring for any fellow NaNoWriMoers. Good luck everyone!
